don't judge a blog by its cover

cause I had pollyeyes chicken and cheese breadstick heaven dipped in perfect ranch dressing today for both lunch and dinner. mmmmmmmmmmmmm :)

i think i'm set for another few years... until i come up with an excuse to drive north again!

my last day with nationwide was yesterday. it was kind of a bitter sweet day. i don't think it really hit me that i'm not going to work there anymore until well after i got home. i spent most of the day packing up my stuff and saying goodbye to people i have become friends with, and only managed to cry once when one of my best friends came over and gave me a hug. ;-) it's hard to believe that with my internships, i've worked there for almost 6 years. i have a lot of great memories there and i have made a ton of great friends... so i will miss that aspect, even though i'm looking for so much more out of my new job.

on another note i had this really weird dream right before i woke up this morning. i was running in a race (and i had these really big grey sweatpants on). there were tons of people running, most of them were behind me. i was convinced that i was going to win the race, when suddenly i came across a flat area of land that had ropes tied horizontally to trip people who were trying to win the race. i happened to see them and i was able to hurdle over all of them while everyone else was piling up on top of each other from falling. i made it to the end of the finishline first. the weird thing about this is that i havent run in a long time, so i have no idea where that came from. weird...

saturday is my best friend from AOII's wedding... yay :)

I have been messing with some settings and i dont know if i screwed something up or not...so i was just wondering if you could see these posts...

okay, so I kind of hinted around about it a few days ago, but now that I officially passed my drug test, I guess it's public knowlege... I have a new job at Ohio Public Employees Retirement System. I know... leaving Nationwide is a big step, but I decided it would be a good career opportunity.

Several weeks ago, Ollie sent me a posting from their website and told me to check it out. I submitted my resume a few days later and the very next day I got a phone call from the hiring manager asking for a telephone interview. The phone conversation went well, so I decided to continue through the interviewing process. Basically I will be doing the same work, requirements analysis, for those of you who don't know what I currently do :) but, it will be a lot more money, better benefits and a small company. I'm really looking forward to it! I'll get to learn about investments, and help create systems that the stock traders use to make the state employees money. :)

Leaving NW is going to be bitter sweet, I must say... but atlas, it is time for me to move on to new challenges. Wish me luck!!

i was having trouble falling asleep tonight so i decided to take a look at my very first journal entry on LJ. that was a long time ago. as i read through the first 3 years of my journal entries (this only took about 40 minutes because I don't write in it as often as i thought i would...) i realized how much i missed all the good stuff that happened to me. first, i'm a big drama queen. i never thought i could get over my ex, graduate college or get through the ugly csu disaster...and yet i read through this stuff now and just laugh. sometimes i wonder why i stressed myself out over silly little things that got in my way. 3 boyfriends later and a few jobs and a degree haven't taught me too much except that i still stress out too much over little things... so here's to getting better at that, i suppose.

i am a little frazzled over wedding stuff. all this planning is getting to the point where i just dont care anymore...even though i do care. it's just hard to make 2000 decisions about things that will be over in 8 hours.

ok so maybe tomorrow i'll stop whining too.

i miss my bg friends. it sucks that we are all spattered all over ohio and other random places and we don't get to hang out much anymore. we're all growing up and getting married and working and trying to be big kids. i love you all tho :)

ok, i think i'm done with my sappiness for tonight. i need to get some sleep.
